I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order. View all posts by scooj

Am chuckling (because am the wife of a protectionist carpenter) – that door is bulging! Am Dutch living in the USA, haven’t heard the word psychogeography …what is “it”?

Glad you enjoyed the door. Psychogeography is a way of exploring, which is bound up in politics and movement, although in its simplest form it is the practice of wandering around, without a plan and noticing the things around you.

In th bustle of modern life it is a way of looking at your surroundings, properly looking. It is related to the 19th century ‘flaneur’, although it has different drivers.
