I’m sorry to hear this. I think it is hardest on the family members to watch the person they knew disappear.

He has been disappearing for a few years and this morning he died peacefully. Thanks for your kindness.

It’s never easy to lose a loved one. May the good memories give your wife and you some comfort as you cope with the loss.
PS. It’s just this past winter that my wife stopped dialing her parent’s phone number when the weather is bad and it’s been 5 years.

I know it takes time. I have now lost my step father, my father and my father-in-law… that’s a lot of fathers.

My family tradition calls for gathering on the anniversary of the death of loved ones to eat and drink in their memory. You’d be one busy man. 🙂
