    1. I don’t drink much beer these days, but it would have to be a bitter (I know Americans don’t really understand bitter), and rather hoppy. Probably something like Theakston’s Old Peculiar.

      1. I do like a hoppy bitter ale to cut the grease. I love a well paired beer to go with a special meal but a six pack would last me and the wife a couple of weeks. And yes fish and chips are a special meal. 😉
