Great close up of the fly, but it’s hard to make sense of it’s ‘face’!

I need to make a decision soon about how good I want the pictures to be. At the moment I am using a very cheap macro lens, on an automatic setting and no tripod. I think I would like to graduate because I do like photographing tiny insects. One day I will do something about this…when I have time.

My difficulty with the fly’s ‘face’ isn’t a reflexion on the quality of the photo. Just inter-species incomprehension!

I understand. The reason for my post was that I tried to enlarge the face to have a proper look, and realised that I need to get higher resolution images.
