Swimming party

See the crocodile

with happy smiling faces;

snap snap, hurry up!

*Crocodile – an informal line of people, especially children, walking in pairs

**At primary school, decades ago, we had a trip to the London Natural History Museum. My teacher said ‘let’s see the crocodile’…I spent the rest of the day looking for this infernal reptile. I never found it.

I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

  1. I have never heard that before, nut it makes total sense. Your haiku is charming.
    My favourite field trip in primary school was to The Science Centee in Toronto. No crocodiles for us; we just ran wild like monkeys!

  2. I too had never heard of that term–kinda scary? It always reminds me of a worm when I see a big group of small children moving like that. The line will twist, turn and then completely stop. I saw a group of kids (3-4) all dressed up for Halloween wending their way through campus–it was LOUD!
