Use an old hand held drill to drill holes through the bark and into the tree.
Pour bleach into the holes.
Do this regularly
The tree becomes unwell and has to be taken down
Job done . . .

We’ve tried, but the owner of the land, a neighbour, is a bit of a tw*t.
