Isn’t it an extraordinary feeling one gets when meeting someone in person for the first time! I remember a pen pal from many years ago. I was working in Bergerac at the Grand hotel de Londres, as a commis de cuisine. I had a day off and decided to hitch-hike to Agen. I met a pen-pal, Anny Marchand. It was extraordinary and as the reader will note , not forgotten.
