Doors 136 – some random doors from Bristol
As the lockdown continues, everything seems to get just that little bit harder. The routines become confirmation that nothing changes or has changed for such a very long time. There is a collective cloud sitting above the nation and there is little hope for anything changing any time soon. Thank goodness for Thursday Doors… a moment of escapism and a change to the tedium of our coronavirus lives.
This is a selection of doors and gates from my walks around the city of Bristol.

So there is the little break in our ‘groundhog day’ existence, I hope you enjoyed it.
If you have made it this far, you probably like doors, and you really ought to take a look at the No Facilities blog by Dan Anton who has taken over the hosting of Thursday Doors from Norm 2.0 blog. Links to more doorscursions can be found in the comments section of Dan Anton’s Thursday Doors post.

Those are some great doors. Would love to walk the streets someday.

The forlorn gate is a very interesting picture. I felt compelled to look at it. I like the blue door. and the ghost door. It’s getting harder to find doors. I’ve exhausted all the areas in close proximity to our house, so whenever I get away, I take a lot of pictures.

Yes, I agree, it is tough finding doors close to home. These pictures were mostly from last year. I want desperately to go to a large country house and take some door pictures. I hope it won’t be too long.

I hope so too.

Good gallery, but my favorite is the top one. Funny that there are so many gates this week.

Yes, I noticed that too. I rarely do gates, but this week…

I enjoyed your pictures of Bristol. I have never been there and my son is applying to university here.

It is a fabulous city. There are two universities and both are very good.

I’m glad to hear your endorsement of the universities. Thank you.

Some lovely doors, but they’re mostly looking rather tired … catching the national mood!

Possibly I selected these doors subconsciously.
