Overwhelming pain
overcome and defeated
running for my life

I have managed to keep up my running, which I started at the end of February when I couldn’t run more than 400m without walking. This morning I managed 4.5km, with hills. 5k is in sight. Feeling smug.
I do believe I told you so . . .
Congratulations are most definitely in order . . .

Thank you. It still hurts and is very boring, but I feel a little fitter.

This time next year you’ll be looking forward to running the Bath Half Marathon . . .

I’m not sure about that.

I think you need to invest in some decent wireless headphones/earbuds so you can listen to whatever you like whilst running . . .
Should take away the boredom factor . . .

Done. Choosing the music is a bit of a challenge though.

A little while ago you were saying you could hardly run at all.
After sticking with it for a few months you’ve increased your ability and stamina massively.
Logically if you continue to stick with it and push yourself a little each week that growth will continue and so in a year’s time a half marathon could be a very real opportunity you will be more than willing to take . . .

Outside is fairly safe and you can always run by yourself or even just buy a tracker and run a half completely by yourself . ..

I like the latter option. I use Strava to track my runs, which is quite fun.
