I retired in 2012 @ 58. I just said ‘I don’t want to do this shit any more’. Obviously the majority of people don’t have that choice. I did work part time 2018-2020 and they asked me to go full time so I said ‘see ya later’! If you don’t have to, then don’t prolong it unnecessarily.

I am enjoying work as much as I ever have, I just want to have time to relax before I get too old.

Yes, but we have to manage our income with two young adults still living at home.
