Consistency is the name of the game from Todoaciem, whose ‘CIEM’ calligraffiti writing rarely misses the mark. The colours of this piece are in line with the colours selected by his fellow artists at a paint jam in Sparke Evans Park earlier in May.

It is remarkable to think that all of this intricate and beautifully executed work is painted using a spray can. I just don’t know how these guys do it. They are magicians. I am having to rush my posts a little this morning as my daughter and I are jumping on a Porto tram shortly to get to the coast.

It has been a long while since I last posted a piece by Todoaciem, so it is with some pleasure that I am able to share this wonderful piece of calligraffiti painted at the ‘Dare To’ paint jam a few weeks ago.

Normally we would expect to see the letters CIEM, but here he has written HMR, the letters of his crew. His letters are always so neat and uniform with a lovely deep 3D shadow that helps the whole thing to stand out. Unfortunately, the white paint is a little thin, but all in all this is a skilful piece of writing.

It’s that man again, Todoaciem, with one of his outstanding calligraphy pieces spelling out CIEM1. He really has been turning out some of the most consistently brilliant pieces of late and is fast establishing himself on the Bristol scene.

There is something of a mini Spanish armada in Bristol at the moment, and along with the strong Polish contingent, the city is becoming a wonderful culturally diverse melting pot for street art. We are blessed to be able to see so much art on our walls each day in so many styles from so many resident artists.

The piece itself not only stands out for its uniformity of typeface, but also for those incredible gold fills and the striped blue and white 3D shadow. One to admire.
