Do they have the same urban legend (myth) about shoes in a tree as they do in the US? Drugs and gang territories? Please tell me there is a much more innocent and wonderful reason for it in Bristol
No gangs, nothing sinister, just a favourite skating spot, with a skate shop nearby. When they buy a new pair of shoes, they sling the old pair in the tree. It is a skating thing.
