I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

      1. I use the 3 syllable version of evening. I guess it can be 2 or 3. Sometimes I avoid words which have syllable options (depending on pronounciation) , because it gets awkward.

My fave bit of this one is the ‘ject’ sounds. I wrote it in a meeting this afternoon as the sun streamed into the room and the window was framed on the opposite wall with light. I love that clear early Spring light.

      2. Nothing to forgive, and your poetry is something I am inspired by and aspire to. Most of my haiku happen in the moment and I have to jot them down there and then.

    1. Thank you. I agree about an image, but in a way, I think everyone knows that warming light that shines on walls or the carpet. Cats always find the ones on the floor and sit in the pool of light. I like to join them.
