- We went to see a fabulous Welsh National Opera production of The Marriage of Figaro last night. Perfect Christmas present from Mrs Scooj.

Sounds Fantastic! Did you see it at the Wales Millenium Centre or somewhere else?

It was thoroughly enjoyable. We saw it at the Bristol Hippodrome (one night only I think).

Great Haiku – says it all. The Marriage of Figaro is one of my favourite opera’s along with Puccini’s reply to this with The Barber of Seville. The Bristol Hippodrome is my husband’s favourite theatre.

It is a lovely old theatre. My favourite is La Boheme, by some margin, but I really enjoyed last night.

We are opera fans here too. We have loads of it on cd (ipods), but have only seen a few productions. Big fan of the film, “Amadeus” though. One of my favourite cds is a DG collection of Mozart arias. I love the piece, “Ruhe Sanft”. Also a big fan of Leslie Garrett, from way back.

I have been lucky enough to see quite a few, and was given a large collection of operas (cds) by my godmother a few years ago.
