Well spotted – the inspiration was the Lady Macbeth ‘come thick night’ speech. I haven’t read any Shakespeare for a couple of years…time to remedy that.

The “succour” gave it away. I’ve only seen it used in Shakespeare and on “The Vicar of Dibley”.
MacBeth is my favourite. I love those weird sisters.
