I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

Gorgeous photo! I love beetles and used to watch them as a child. They are very busy creatures. Your excellent haiku may also apply to you? I sense an impatience in you.
I am lazy by nature. I would rather snooze than be busy. The inspiration for this was partly the picture and partly a book my children had when they were little in which a cat was too busy to have fun or to have nice food or to play…in the end the cat yielded and enjoyed all of those things.
Excellent photo and fun haiku 🙂

Thank you. The picture came first and drove the haiku.

Sounds like a cute book! How’s your cat, by the way? Picasso, our 21 year old puss passed away in the winter. 😿

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. Ninja is doing really well. She has settled down now, and generally just sleeps…oh to be a cat.

Pica had a good and long life. Ninja is wise to take it easy. Cats are lucky jerks!
