  1. Lovely shots. Do you know if there’s a specific reason for such a deep recess on some of those doors? Perhaps an old building code requirement?
    Regardless, it’s a good way to be out of the rain when you’re searching for your keys 😀

    1. As first I thought it might be a flood measure, but the sea is too far away and these houses were on a hill. The walls are very thick, so the houses probably several hundred years old – I couldn’t figure it out, which is why I took the pictures – I’ll try to find out.
