I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

    1. Horse chestnuts are in big trouble in the UK, with bleeding canker, an introduced bacteria which causes browning on the leaves and cracks and blisters the bark. They still seem to produce confers though.

      1. We don’t have horse chestnut trees here that I know of. We too have tree diseases such as Dutch Elm and the Emerald Ash Borer. The Ash Borer is a bug which lays eggs beneath the bark of the tree. Not enough Woodpeckers anymore. sad
