When I lived for a short while near Wimbledon in 1984-7 I used to take the train up to Waterloo. The delay announcement which amused me the most came in Autumn – Train I delayed due to leaves on the line at Guildford. Still brings a smile to my face.

Leaves on the line has become quite famous, people still quote it today.
