Funny you should write about genius. I’ve always thought it to be one of those words to be careful about using, insomuch that to refer to something or someone as genius tacitly implied that one were of the same intellectual level. Trump is a good example, always referring to himself as a genius.
There’s another word that gets overused, brilliant. It used to mean someone who was very bright. Nowadays its used differently and often.

I am very guilty of overuse and sometimes incorrect use of the word brilliant.
