  1. There are things that can be done that really help with these matters.
    Obviously there are the chemical treatments that work up to a point but which aren’t really cool.
    Much better letting nature help you.
    I helped a mate put a pond into his allotment a few years ago which now has a really healthy population of frogs, toads and newts all of which love to munch on slugs and snails. There is a little damage but almost everything is saved from the devastation that the little critters can cause.
    I also put him onto nematodes that also work really well and are definitely worth looking into if you can’t be arsed with a pond . . .


    1. Thanks. I tried nematodes a few years back and they kind of worked but repeat treatments get expensive. I have been thinking about a pond for a long time. Possibly a project for next year.
