Weird atmosphere. Ok And fun, but not brilliant.

I went to the ‘Pony & Trap’ for a Sunday Lunch a few weeks ago and definitely wont be returning.
Far too expensive for far too little food.
The actual main course didn’t have roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding or indeed vegetables.
We were both massively disappointed as the food at their actual restaurant is quite superb.

I guess these are the challenges they face with outdoor catering etc.

I don’t really think being outside would stop anyone from being able to provide vegetables with a roast dinner or for that matter roast potatoes.
We spent £49 each on four courses and only one was par for the course and that was dessert.
I do say this as a fully trained chef who has run some big kitchens in a variety of settings.
When you have been awarded a Michelin Star, I personally expect to be wowed.

You are full of surprises. A chef… actually I think I did know that, but had forgotten. Yes I had heard it was overpriced. Pity really.
