I would absolutely love to be proved wrong.
Having said that I genuinely feel that the psychopaths who are steering our Titanic are deliberately heading straight towards the proverbial iceberg with all the knowledge of what will happen if they do yet still see themselves as completely invulnerable to any of the consequences.
Waiting to be proven wrong . . .
Reminds of the frog that jumped into a pot of water that was then slowly brought to a boil. By the time the frog found the temperature too hot, it was too late.
