I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

In my eyes they’ve been that way for absolutely ages
What was the straw that finally broke the BBC’s back for you?
Their refusal to present beergate and partygate as totally different things, and falling on the side of supporting Johnson, rather than reporting facts. It has been a long and slippery decline, but the BBC is simply too scared to objectively criticise the government for fear of more savage cuts.
Also all their political ‘reporters’ are hardcore tories themselves.
They have been in total breach of their own Charter for years and the sooner they have to fend for themselves the better.
I never watch the BBC and forcing me to pay for their lies which soil the minds of the electorate should not be something I should be subjected to.
The reporters and editors should face criminal proceedings!
I certainly feel the BBC should be given editorial freedom. Instead they have become a government mouthpiece, no better than Putin’s control of the Russian media.
If you’ve read their charter then you will understand just how far they have sunk.
You wouldn’t force a vegan to buy meat so why should the millions who want nothing to do with the BBC have to pay for it?

I must be at that age, for I just keep seeing things as they are and most times I’m being quite stoic.

Probably much better for the blood pressure to have that stoic outlook.

I naturally do have lower blood pressure than those of more flusterable composition, but then that probably is good for the job I do.
