Pelmo has been experimenting for a little while with some fascinating studies of characters in orange and red doing unusual things. This fine piece, perfectly located in Dean Lane, is another climbing piece, this time with both climbers more obviously positioned and related to one another than the one in New Stadium Road.

This charming work shows two characters, one belaying the other as he carefully climbs a ‘chimney’ between a wall and telegraph pole.  There is a lot of thought and love shown by Pelmo in his pieces, and I always feel that he has a strong relationship and affection for his characters. This is a brilliant small piece that brings a smile to my face each time I see it.

      1. Haven’t even seen it until you posted it tbh mate
Instead of getting out and about 7 a days a week I’ve had to reign things in rather a lot due to my broken foot still not being healed since February . . . :-/

      2. I’m sorry to hear that Paul, bloody miserable. I have hung up my running shoes for the moment, and I’m not sure if my knee will ever be alright, but it is less painful than it was.

      3. I took up walking as much as I’ve been doing as it eases my spinal pain lol . . .
I’ve now been told I wont be having the surgery despite waiting for almost 6 years but will instead be getting some injections that will basically cauterise the nerves in the area that gives me pain without actually treating the problem at all.
Years ago they’d have just done the surgery to make the patient well, now they keep the patient unwell by making the symptoms ffs . . . :-/
