I went every year from 1980 to well into the naughties but finally looked at what it had become from the single field hippy festival I had grown to love to a massive sprawling consumer nightmare and decided enough was enough . . .

Not for me, but my wife and a friend. They have been several times before, but missed out on tickets this time. Not my cup of tea if I am honest.

Other than at football matches, I don’t like large crowds and constant noise. Plus football matches only last 2 hours.
