We are blessed in Bristol to receive a constant stream of fabulous street artists and graffiti writers that come and visit the city and leave behind beautiful presents for us. This is one such example from a short while ago by Asmer art.
AsmerArt, Dean Lane, Bristol, January 2022
I know nothing about the artist, beyond their Instagram profile that says ‘Czech artist based in London’ but I can spot class when I see it, and this is a very classy piece from an accomplished artist.

A writing/character combination that works so well and has been executed beautifully, and a seriously compelling image that draws you in to take a closer look. I sincerely hope that it isn’t too long before AsmerArt returns for another trip to Bristol.

Doors 135 – back to the archive for some street/graffiti art doors
Things are very busy at work and the streets are wet. This means that my opportunities to get out and find some new doors are significantly depleted. So it is back to the archive. These photographs first appeared on Natural Adventures in April and May 2020 (even though some of them were taken long before that). Enjoy.

So that’s your lot for the week, a week in which the world seems a safer and more reliable place.
If you have made it this far, you probably like doors, and you really ought to take a look at the No Facilities blog by Dan Anton who has taken over the hosting of Thursday Doors from Norm 2.0 blog. Links to more doorscursions can be found in the comments section of Dan Anton’s Thursday Doors post.
Doors 131 – a welcome to Dan Anton and some more graffiti archive doors
It has been an ultra busy week, so I am returning to my ‘safety blanket’ of doors from my street art archives. The worrying thing is that I am steadily using up my reserve doors and really need to get out to photograph some new and exciting doors. Bristol is currently in the highest tier of covid-19 restrictions, so it may still be some time before I can get out and about.
This little selection were originally posted on Natural Adventures during December 2019 and January this year. Enjoy:
There is a door there somewhere – I promise

Well there was a bit of cheating in that lot, and quite a few boarded up doors, but in this friendly community of door lovers, I’m sure even oblique references to doors are acceptable.
So that’s it for this week. More next week I hope.

Doors 128 – a return to some street art and graffiti doors
As the country is once again locked down (although it somehow doesn’t feel as severe as the last time) photographing new doors continues to be something of a challenge. I long for a visit to a National Trust property or something similar, but I fer that such a trip is still a while off. In the meantime it is another dip into my archives to bring you some more graffiti doors from last year.

Doors 123 – Yet more recycling of street/graffiti art doors
It may come as some relief to readers of this post that I am gently approaching the end of the road with my archived street art doors. I might be able to squeeze a further four or five weeks out of them but then the pressure will be on to capture some new doors.
Actually I do have a few Bristol doors up my sleeve, but just need a little bit more time to write about them.
Anyhoo, enjoy today’s offering:

I am totally maxed out at work at the moment, so this will be short and sweet. Some more graffiti/street art doors from my archive. I am beginning to fret about what will happen when I have exhausted my archive.
