fill gorgeous blue skies

End-of-tunnel light

quashed by arrival of rain

allotment must wait

  • I’ve been looking forward to finishing work all day today to be able to pop up to the allotment before cooking an evening meal. A badly timed shower has goofed up all my timings and my excitement. Tomorrow it will have to be.

Although I have to say that I am enjoying the slower pace and quiet streets. Of course the full horror of the virus is too much to bear, but I am clinging to simple pleasures.

  • One of my Early Haiku poems from May 2015 – I was thinking about looking forward to spring, but was uninspired (it must be the rain), so I dug this one out from the archive. Only those of you who became WordPress friends back in the early days will remember this one, so I felt it was worth sharing again.
