Redland Station mist

A dark silhouette

his last vape before the train;

creature of habit.

Monday

Yellow-purple-grey

sky weighed down by Winter’s curse;

dull and oppressive

Haiku 3

Deathly cold darkness

adorns Autumn’s fallen leaves

with Winter’s halo

Frozen

From the souls of my

shoes, deathly cold rises through

my tired old body.

Urban frost

Heavy winter coats

donned, hunched commuters shiver

in queues for the tube.

It rains

Interminable

rain, eroding memories

of warm summers past.

Chilly choices

.

Standing in cold car

parks, shivering and choosing

which cars to test drive.

Waiting it out

Inexorable

my time in time will come, but

will I welcome it?

Warm

The long grey Winter

at last yields and tender warmth

fills my heart with joy.

The Christmas tree is dead, long-live the Christmas tree.

Trees of Christmas past

bannish the chill invasion

and with their heat, rule.
