This has been a winter where some of the giants of Bristol street art have awoken and decorated our walls with some of the finest works for a while. Sepr is one such giant who seems to be painting most weekends and turning out some really high-quality work.

What a stunner this is – ‘knock it on the head – before it knocks you on your arse’. I’ve not heard the expression before, but am willing to adopt it on the back of this wonderful Sepr work.

The common thread running through much of Sepr’s work is music, and musicians and here he has painted a pianist stretched out and toppling off his stool. For me, his works have a very strong retro feel and remind me of 1950’s cartoons – the hairstyle and the trilby are not of this decade.

These cartoons, beautifully drawn are pulled out from the wall by some expert shardos that govo it a bit of a 3D feel. Definitely worth a look.
I’m due another trip to Bristol so hope to come and get that one soon – next week if weather permits!

It is just past the junction where the petrol station is. Texaco I think. In a lane on the right.

I think it is a keeper, the last piece was there for years.

Got the new Tom Miller one @ carriageworks despite a road works vehicle being parked right in front of it – as yet unblemished so guess it must be fairly new

He did it this week. Not his best, but great to see him on the street again. Also a new huge Jody on Park Street next to the Nick Walker coat of arms. Completed yesterday.

Put the Jody one on the list for next time also. Didn’t do M32 or St W yesterday but did go to dean lane & took pix of the street art in the Rope Walk on the way back to the station

I popped over to M32 today and there was something of a paint jam going on. I met Smak for the first time (lovely fellow) and there were two artists from Cardiff, two from Taunton, two from Tiverton and also Mr Draws and Lopes. I’ll have to go back to get the completed pieces. Lucky day.

Went to Bristol yesterday and still didn’t find it! What is the street name? I found Sepr @ the Golden Lion pub and the Paintsmiths on a bike shop a little further on and that’s as fa as I got – any further and I’d have been in Gloucester! Did get the 3Dom tile shop and also 2 x Zase & Decor up near Ikea and Jody & Andy Council in Bedo. Note teh hoardings gone in North St & Raleigh Rd
