C’mon Ingerland!
Never has a national team been so inept at penalties when it really counts than England.
Time and time again we have been on the wrong side of penalty shoot outs and bringing on players who haven’t even played in the match to then take penalties I personally thought was an awful move by the manager who up until then seemed to have made plenty of good decisions throughout the tournament.
We did far better than I thought we would though . . .
An enjoyable campaign. It might have turned out differently but it didn’t and there we are. I warmed to this team a lot and look forward to the World Cup.
