I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

oh this was powerful prose – and well worded for an ending – and just read int he comments that it was your mother’s partner – sending good vibes to all duding this tender time –
Powerful haiku, Stephen. So sorry for what your family is going through. I appreciated the time during palliative care to let go of my father-in-law. It was tough getting through it but we were so much better for it on the other side knowing that we did everything we could for him. May you find peace and solace in the days to come.
So sorry.

Thank you Paul, it will come to us all in one way or another. It is my mother’s partner of ten years. I worry for both of them.

As Jim Morrison so aptly said . . .
‘No one gets out of here alive
But I’ll tell you this
I wanna have my kicks before the shithouse goes up in flames’

There is nothing that I can say other than “Sorry”, but I will be thinking of you and your family over the coming days.

Thank you. He had good days and bad days, but he will not get better. I worry for my mother.
