Doors 221 – Bristol and Porto street art and graffiti doors
When I do these street art and graffiti doors, it usually signals that I am really busy at work, and don’t have time to do all the necessary admin to prepare doors to share, preferring to trawl existing pictures that I have posted on my blog under the street art category.
So let’s get straight to business with these doors from Bristol and Porto, which were originally posted on Natural Adventures in July 2022:

OK, so it’s not a door, but I just love this photograph.
Well, that’s it for another week. I hope you have a great weekend. Happy Thursday doors.
If you have made it this far, you probably like doors, and you really ought to take a look at the No Facilities blog by Dan Anton who has taken over the hosting of Thursday Doors from Norm 2.0 blog. Links to more doorscursions can be found in the comments section of Dan Anton’s Thursday Doors post.

It’s years since I visited Bristol and I don’t remember it having lots of murals etc but perhaps it has changed in last 20 years or so.

It began in the 1980s with Banksy, Inkie, Jody and a few others, and has been building ever since. It is now known as a graffiti hub, and hosts Europe’s largest street art festival, Upfest.

I love the simplicity of the two emergency doors at Maybe, Cumberland Basin, Bristol. The last ghost door is a bit creepy. The last photo is very nice. I’m glad you included it.

Maybe’s work is simple, but somehow conveys stories. He has recently painted the inspection hatches at the other end of the bridge.

Glad to see Hazul is still active. I really enjoyed his street art when I visited Porto eight years ago. Carvalho, Mesk, Costah are new to me

Hazul seems to be the backbone of Porto street art, his work is everywhere. Great to know he has been going for a while.
