The Purple Flowered Tomentosa, Empress Tree. Large Leaves Flutter Down.
Wonderful – I got trapped in a search for Paulownia trees and learned so much about them – one of the largest leaved trees. Wood lightweight, like balsa. etc.
I first learnt about them when I was running a gardening team many many years ago An elderly lady had one in her garden and the leaves were so big I had to ask her what it was The name stuck for an obvious reason lol . . . 😉
