I woke at ten past four when the dog started barking at something in the street. Unfortunately I didn’t get back to sleep again after that and lay awake with my mind churning. One of the outputs from the unrest was this haiku. Another, was a long rant about the state that the last government left the country in. Broke with horrific debt and with public services hanging on by their fingernails. The rich, richer and the poor, poorer. Any new government coming into power picking up that mess would struggle. The loudest voices of complaint now are from the haves, not the have nots. I’ll leave it there.
The main preoccupation in my head was composing a speech for my mother’s 90th birthday party in February… I think I made good progress.
Natural adventures 
Happy birthday to your mother and governments must be working together to destroy everyone but themselves. Sucks and the US is going down fast once the orange stain takes office.

Our problems relate to 14 years of conservatives, who trashed the place and enriched themselves. The new Labour government are having to mop up the mess and have become quite unpopular for trying to get the economy back on track, which involves increased taxes and spending on public services.

In our case, not yours. Our previous administration were much closer in ideology and behaviour to Donald Trump. It is going to take the Labour government years to repair the country, which is so broken.

Right, well that’s the shit future of my country. 2016-2020 sucked, hasn’t gotten much better and will most likely be even worse 2025-2029

Sit tight. Trump will come and go. Musk’s popularity(?) will wane. Common sense may return. We have to hope.

Idk what worries me more than normal was having access over the Summer to an online questionaire for Trump Loyalists. I was sent this because I am an unaffiliated voter. There were normal questions but there also questions about murder as well as murdering whoever 47 deems a traitor. It’s hard to take that lightly as just another election. I am hoping 47 has some sense of normalcy to not take it that far…

It’s just so obvious yet is rarely if ever discussed by the MSM, a little like Brexit, which if reversed would also help this little england .. . .
