I do agree that the closer you get to actually winning the worse your form gets. In my eyes this has been going on for a few years now. It smacks of a fear of winning/losing, something that Man City have dealt with quite a few years ago. I hope we have a ‘new’ League winner this season as it would be good for football as a whole.
Whatever happened to the 150+ charges against Man City? Other teams were dealt with harshly and quickly yet Man City just seem to be able to drag it out with nothing seeming to happen.
When you’ve won the premier league seven times out of the last nine years I think most fans understand they are both an immovable object and a hard place . . . 🤷♂️

It is our form that troubles me, we look completely devoid of ideas and energy, just at the wrong point in the season.
