Doors 351 – Doors of Shrewsbury (part II) – April 2025
This week I continue the series of doors from a trip I made to Shrewsbury last April. During the briefest of stays (one night) I managed to snap dozens of doors, which perhaps tells you a little about the town itself and the variety of doors associated with different architectural periods.

I love these doors, and I quite like this town. I’m not usually able to choose a favorite, but the one where you point out that the brick work highlights changes over time is fascinating. I can almost imagine what the original door must have looked like. I hope you have a great weekend.
Beautiful photos all, Stephen. I love that double blue door at number 6 and the other number on the left. The stonework is superb, and the doors balance the facade well in your frame. I am not sure why, but the building has a financial district vibe similar to places I have visited in other cities.
Love the narrow door and its many architectural styles including the bay window, superbly assimilated into that particular facade.
An enjoyable tour well documented, Stephen. Thank you for sharing what you find through your lens on your visits to various cities. Much appreciated.
