  1. There’s something deeply wise about preferring the chaos of nature’s alarm, sparrows with their purpose and presence, over the sterile beeping of a clock. You’ve captured that Cornish morning perfectly, that moment where you realize the best wake-up calls aren’t designed at all, they’re just what happens when the world insists on being alive. The simplicity of this haiku actually holds everything: the song is already there, it’s already proper, we just have to listen instead of resist. 🐦

      1. I couldn’t agree more. I miss the cheerful chirping of sparrows that once filled the air around us. They were so common, even on school grounds. Sadly, they’ve all but disappeared now.
