The whole piece is extra sharp and just amazingly well painted and I love the way thet Goofy almost seems to lean out of the wall, a hip hop goofy at that fully kitted out with medallion and baseball cap.

I managed to get down to see this piece quite quickly, but the margins had already been tagged – I think that might be a naughty Oner tag in the top left. Typical Bristol brilliance for all to see.
Ooh, what a lovely collaboration between Dibz and Sikoh from a couple of weeks back on 20 April 2018. This collaboration has a wonderful nighttime quality about it, set on a dark blue ‘sky’ background.

I have posted several pieces by Dibz on this site in the past and commensurate with those, this one is clean and sharp and offers lovely complex lettering. It was great to be there when he started the piece to see how he goes about his work.

As wildstyle burners go, you would have to hunt high and low to find more tidy works, he really is meticulous in his execution. What I like about this is that the deep borders have a vanishing point somewhere below the piece, which is technically more difficult than having a shadow going in the same direction.

Now Sikoh I have heard of before, but I haven’t knowingly seen any of his work before. Judging from this awesome piece and equally awesome Instagram feed he is an artist of the highest callibre. This piece is called ‘Plague Doctor’ and probably presses every possible button I have. A perfect piece in pretty much every way.

He doesn’t give away too much on his social media profiles, but I tracked down his profile from the 2017 Upfest programme, although in my pictures I haven’t yet found his piece…time to search harder (just done some homework…I don’t have it, he sprayed his piece at the Hare pub). His profile is as follows:
‘Sikoh is a graffiti writer from Glastonbury with a preference for sharp, flowing 3D letters and semi- Bboy characters. One part of IGK- an international crew, local Bristol crew- PWA and one quarter of Glastonbury’s MOA. Sikoh has been painting since 2013. Much of his commissioned works have been within the UK hiphop scene, for artists such as- Leaf Dog, Smellington Piff and Jack Jetson.’
I was very fond of these hoardings in Brunswick Square, but alas, they are long since gone.I still have several pieces that I have not posted, and this is one of them by Dibz. I am more used to seeing his work at Dean Lane or on Instagram, so it is nice to have another location for the collection.

As always his deep shading and complex letter patterns are technically superb, and there is a cleanness of the lines in all his work. The blue line and its glow add something special to a very nice piece indeed.
Yet another piece from my archive – I have to say that I rather like posting things sometime after I captured them, it somehow adds to the legacy element of what I do. This is a fine piece of wildstyle writing from Dibz on the hoardings that will very soon be coming down.

Dibz’ complex pieces are characterised by a deep shadow lifting the piece out from the wall and giving it a bit of body. His Instagram account is well worth a squint to see pictures of his latest sketches in his black book. A great Bristol graffiti writer.
I have held on and held on to this collaboration for such a long time, because I was determined not to post it until I found out who worked on it with Dibz. Then I met Ulow a few weeks back (see my post about his Boba Fett piece) and was able to complete the puzzle.

The Dibz half of the collaboration was fairly easy to identify because I am familiar with his work and he sprays Dean Lane often enough for me to know his stuff when I see it. His writing here is very nice indeed and has quite a deep yellow border which sets it up beautifully.

The character half of the collaboration is by Ulow, and is something quite different. Set on a moody sunset skyline, a breakdancer entertains us with his contortions. The orange glow reflecting off the folds of his clothes is masterful work.

Like so many pieces at Dean Lane, this one didn’t last long, but it was a real peach.
This is an absolutely wonderful piece by Dibz, featuring a character from the animated television series ‘Pinky and the Brain’. This is actually ‘the Brain’ as Pinky is somewhat skinnier and more stupid looking. Lots more from the excellent Wikipedia page on this cartoon.

What I like about this work is just how fantastically sharp and clear all Dibz’s lines are, it is a really strong technical piece. He spends a lot of time perfecting his designs before committing them to a wall, and his black book is well worth looking at on his Instagram feed.

Care has been taken, even providing a neutral grey background to help the lime green and pink stand out on this piece. One of the best on this wall for a while. Incidentally, and quite by accident, it is on the exact same space as the previous post from Inkie.
Here is a great piece of precision wildstyle from local Bedminster graffiti artist, Dibz. All of his works have this characteristic jagged look, and ere always lovely and clean.

I don’t see his work on the streets too often, but he has a fine black book from which photographs are frequently posted on his Instagram feed. Always nice to see one of his sharp pieces up close though.
This is another intricate piece from Dibz dating back to June this year. Dibz lives locally and tends to save his spraying for the walls at Dean Lane skate park. I recently featured another of his works from an adjacent wall.

A week or two back I was lucky enough to meet Dibz for the first time. Dibz is a well respected local wildstyle writer whose black book contains works that have been sprayed by crews in London and New York, so he tells me.

This piece was one that I photographed back in May, and really shows off his style. The letters are disguised, but once you know it says Dibz, you can begin to work it out. This is all part of the game for wildstyle writers. I will soon post the piece he was working on when I met him in September. How many more Bristol artists are there out there to uncover? It seems there is no end to the talent here.
