a human reminder in

Large windows offer

fleeting moments of escape,

then it’s back to work.

Others have gone home;

shut the door on your way out

I think to myself.

As the lights go out

and colleagues head for their homes

I remain and write.

Today I found a quiet place

 

A silent space where

I can be alone frees my
