Consistently brilliant and brilliantly consistent, Trafficity manages to paint the exact same structural form of letters spelling ZIOM. As I have said in previous posts featuring his work, I suspect there is a hidden smaller word running along the top of the letters, but until I next meet him to ask him, I cannot be sure.

There is something very reassuring about Trafficity’s work, a constant landmark that reappears, when all else around us in in complete turmoil and chaos. The colour selections and transitions are near perfect, and the border and outlines clean and tight. It is always great to find a Trafficity piece.

Another piece from the archive, this one is from December 2020, which, although it feels like a long, long time ago, isn’t really, it is just that so much has happened since then. This piece, on the flakiest wall in Bristol, is by Trafficity.

His striking style and unwavering loyalty to his letter shapes makes Trafficity’s work some of the most recognisable in Bristol. The letters spell ZIOM, which is Polish means ‘dude’, ‘man’, ‘mate’ and so on – a nice inoffensive thing to write. As I always mention with Trafficity’s letters, it looks like there is a top and bottom half, each with smaller words, but I would need to ask the artist if this is the case. It is nice to release this one from the archive.

Another rather nice piece rescued from my archive, this time by Trafficity in May 2018. I know that each time I dive through old folders, I will find more of these pieces that for whatever reason never saw the light of day, and actually, I quite like ‘discovering’ them… it feels like getting a bit of a present.

The letters say ZIOM and take the form and style that Trafficity uses, which is rather unique. There is a kind of symmetry to the whole word, which although not a palindrome, is almost visually palindromic. The muddy dull colours, which are not my favourite, somehow just work well – perhaps it is the splash of blue background that helps.
