Over here, we call them blears. At least that’s what my mom always called them. I use eye-drops for dry eyes and in the morning, I have “crusties”. I just made that up. The cats get them too. 😉
I’m always rubbing them off the cats’ eyes with my thumbs. I once read that cats respond to the “ie” sound, so their full names were amended and much of our “conversations” involve that sound. Thus, Prudie, Charlie, crusties and greenies, sammies, and tunies (various treats).
