Stephen you say unusual stuff. I am hopeful that people are becoming more aware of their environment. Tree man was in earlier days, “green man” (held in high esteem by Celts and Druids etc.)a spirit of sorts who looked after the trees in the woods. Tolkien was aware of this and incorporated it into his writings. hence the Ents or tree herders in his stories about the Hobbit and the trilogy of the ring.

I had the ents in mind when I wrote this. The picture was actually taken on the roundabout at Junction 3 on the M32 into Bristol, strange as it mat seem. I am glad that these posts bring memories of the beautiful city back for you.
I consulted my aging A-Z Street maps of Bristol (as I often do to check the locations of your street art postings) to see where Junction 3/M32 were. Not too far from Lawrence Hill and Ducie Road where I lived until I was about 6 years old. Of course the Motorway had not been built in those days. I really must make to trip back to bristol one of these days.
You would barely recognise it. I am a little biased but I consider it to be one of Britain’s finest cities, as much for its culture and decency as for its extraordinary history.
For the city that brought the term “pay on the nail” you hit the nail on the head – Bristol’s culture, decency and extraordinary history are things which I love to tell people about whenever I’m asked – so, where are you from?
I’m sorry bit of a misunderstanding. I meant when people ask me where I am from. Did not mean to pry. But thank you anyway. Seems like we crossed paths somewhere along the way.
