I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

Holy smokes! Such a lot of stuff to review. I particularly noticed t “kissing the NHS goodbye” What a sad thought
I admire your stamina to go out to find these pieces for your posts. A lot of hard work. Thank you. You provide a eyry interesting connection to my hometown.
It is my pleasure and I am touched that you enjoy the posts. As for hunting down the art, it has become a bit of an obsession that I have to put into perspective every now and again.
I know this might sound a bit sanctimonious but, I consider you a journalist with a dog to walk. Your reporting on the art scene is a bit like Alistair Cook’s “letter from America” in reverse. Thanks for keeping me in touch with my roots. BTW, what sort of dog do you have?
Thank you, I appreciate your kind words. I enjoy painting a picture of Bristol through its art, and the dog gives me a perfect excuse to get out there and document it. The dog is a cocker spaniel (show rather than working). He is gentle, greedy and a bit bonkers, but great company.
Stephen, thank you for the reply. Cockers are fun dogs. When I had a small farm (20 years ago) I had 3 very faithful dogs: a Brittany (hyper) a black lab and a Jack Daniel (good ratter). Now I’m down to one cat.
