Where the Crawdads Sing

A masterful book, and I am very excited about seeing the film tonight. As a quiet and sensitive boy, I found myself and gained confidence through observing and becoming knowledgable about nature – a ‘nature boy’. I identified with some aspects of Kya and the way she absorbs herself in her environment, her habitat, while shutting out the rest of the world. The similarities end there.

Crawdad = Crayfish (for the Brits).

I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

  1. Yeah I used to lose myself in the novel called Brendan Chase by Denys Watkins-Pitchford who wrote under the initials BB which harks back to a different time when the world seemed so very different . . .

      1. A truly beautiful read for children (particularly boys) of all ages that effortlessly leaves this world far behind with it’s wonderfully descriptive prose that place the reader firmly into the narrative . . .
