I do love the spot up at Purdown; it serves the dual purpose being a fabulous place to walk the dog, and there can often be some surprising new street art additions on the concrete slabs at the former WWII gun emplacement. This beauty by Conrico was quite fresh, the last time I went there.

I am very much enjoying Conrico’s portrait pieces, and he is in a deep purple patch of form. This bright portrait piece shows off Conrico’s style at its best. He uses his spray can more like a brush, with short bursts used to apply layers of paint, rather than long solid fills. He is, I think, the best at this technique in Bristol, and his works look like they could easily have been painted in a studio. I love the green jacket and all the folds and shades in it. This is a masterful piece, and I like the young couple sitting above it enjoying the view over the city.
Putting the portrait to the side for a sec, that’s a wonderful photo capture. I’m glad you included the couple on top. Also, the monochromatic pieces behind the color portrait makes the front art pop.
I haven’t said so before, and it is time that I do, I’m grateful to you for these “street art” posts you make. This is something I don’t have a lot of exposure to and didn’t think too much about. You’ve opened up my appreciation. I think you have more of this in the UK, or at least more of it closer together (if that makes sense). If/when I ever get to immigrate to Edinburgh, I look forward to seeing what I can see. There, and as we make our trips around the island.

Thank you so much for the kind words, it means a lot to me. My blog has a small audience, and my purpose is to capture and share the street art of Bristol and beyond, due to its ephemeral nature. That you enjoy it is a super bonus, and will keep me smiling.
I wish you well with your application to immigrate to Scotland it is a wonderful place, and there are certainly one or two cities there known for their street art. Wishing you well. Stephen

Indeed he’s been smashing it for quite a while now.
Nice find up on top of the hill . . .

Went there yesterday – still looking good. Nothing new though.

I haven’t been up there for while now unfortunately.
It appears I need a new right hip and until I get it, currently August, and then recuperate, places like that seem an impossibility . . .

Oh, I am sorry to hear it – I hope the pain isn’t too bad, or that you have some good meds to deal with it.

The pain is both bad and debilitating but living alone I have no choice but to do the best I can to deal with it.

I can see how tough it must be. I met Corupt on the M32 roundabout yesterday, and we chatted for ages. He was asking after you, concerned that he hadn’t seen you for a while. Nice to know that people out there care.

Yeah he’s sound as a pound.
I’ve been there for him a few times when he’s been going through some tough times and it’s always a real pleasure to see him.
