I have signed up to the Wildlife Trusts’ 30 Days Wild campaign, which began on the 1 June, so I have a little catching up to do. The campaign (http://www.wildlifetrusts.org/30DaysWildInfo) encourages a deliberate contact with wildlife everyday for the month of June, and to share your experience with others. I will do mine here.
Discarded fast-food;
a gull, impatient, gorges.
Speared from the inside.

I saw this unfortunate gull today at the Harbourside in Bristol. It left me feeling conflicted. Gulls are a bit of a nuisance and will raid the bins to satisfy their opportunistic lifestyle, and in doing so often litter the surroundings. However, this is not a nice predicament, and I am left wondering if things will turn out ok.
