This is the first of a series of outstanding pieces from a collaborative paint jam prompted by World Wall Stylers with the theme of the film ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’. Although this piece by Ceus isn’t immediately theme related, it is when seen in the context of the whole wall (watch this space).

I haven’t seen very much from Ceus lately, so coming across this was a very pleasant surprise. Ceus has a gift for creating visually very attractive writing and has excelled himself with this piece. The green colour scheme (themed) looks really great on the black buffed wall, and Ceus has worked it well into his letters with some great colour transitions. Lovely work.

After quite a long hiatus, it appears that Kid Krishna has returned with some gusto and inspiration, which is always great to see. Kid Krishna has a writing style unlike any other artist I know of, but what is fascinating about that is that he has several alternative styles that sit within his style, if that makes any sense at all.

This is a colourful piece an a nicely buffed wall, that I have to take on trust spells out CRIE, which is what the artist usually writes. I can never be too sure with his work whether it is planned or spontaneous, and this uncertainty persists even though I have watched him a work several times. Looking at this piece, it certainly looks like it has evolved around a letter framework, but I doubt there was a black book rendition of it. This was painted alongside his painting partner Markinetic earlier this month.

Taboo, is definitely going through a pink period, in fact it is a very popular colour all round in Bristol at the moment, and I don’t think I have seen so much pink paint since Stupid Stupid Meathole was active. I wonder what happened to him.

The unruly letters spell Taboo, with a skull and sphere making up the OO at the end. There are lots of little detail s and distortions to keep the eye busy in this piece, and a nicely worked PLB crew mention. Great work from Taboo, tucked away.

Over the last six months or so, these foxes have been appearing pretty much all over the city, but with a concentration down by the river on both sides. Some of these foxes are a bit quick and dirty, but others, like this one, have been painted beautifully by yet another artist new to Natural Adventures, Nebeldac.

This was painted of a large paint jam on the long wall at Cumberland Basin, most of which I still haven’t posted (a wealth of riches). The fox is a creature synonymous with Bristol which is famed for its urban fox population. I mentioned it once before, but when I first moved to this fine city, I was lucky enough to get an allotment and at that time the population density of foxes there was the highest recorded anywhere in the country. Sadly the introduction of wheely bins and an outbreak of mange all but decimated the population. We now have a healthy population of healthy foxes.

Expect to see more of these foxes from Nebeldac, I have dozens in my archive.

The third piece from an outstanding recent paint jam on the long wall at Cumberland Basin that I have posted on Natural Adventures is by Sled One, and features a Raccoon (something that SPZero76 is a specialist in painting) off on its travels.

I saw a little video clip on Sled One’s Instagram feed which had a little raccoon dropping a piece of ice into some water and getting utterly confused when the ice just disappeared like magic… so beyond the poor mammal’s comprehension. I think this piece is a retelling of that little snippet of film through the imaginative lens of Sled One. This surreal piece is rooted in experience and naturally has been painted with supreme expertise. Classic Sled One.

Over the last couple of years, there has barely been a moment when Rezwonk hasn’t had a new piece somewhere in the city, but of late he has slowed down a little, working on other projects I have no doubt.

This is a lovely colourful piece from the long wall adjacent to the Create Centre which reminds us just what a prodigious talent Rezwonk is. Great letter styling with some interesting drips thrown in too. A curious mix of colours, but he seems to pull it off just fine.
