Here we have yet another classy piece from Biers, who is enjoying an extended period of inspiration and productivity, he really is turning out some banging graffiti writing/character combinations, and challenging my knowledge of popular cartoon culture from the last few decades (which is, I’m afraid rather rudimentary).

The colours and drippy fills in the WD40 are fantastic, and all very tidily finished. The ‘0’ I am guessing is an Easter egg, and the character emerging from it is Jesus, so I have to assume that the piece was painted over, or close to, the Easter weekend. Such is his purple patch these days, that I have several of his pieces that are becoming ‘trapped’ in my archive, which I really ought to do something about.

This post gives you a sense of how far behind I am with my posts and how difficult it is to keep up with the sheer volume of street art and graffiti writing being painted in Bristol right now. The wonderful piece by Pekoe is from an Easter paint jam with her RBF crew friends.

Pekoe has spent this spring concentrating on her letters, and it is always great to see artists pushing and challenging themselves. I think that Pekoe may struggle a little with straight lines and that she might benefit from writing a more curvy word – there are a lot of straight lines in PEKOE. The fills are lovely and typical of her style, and the eggs a nice festive touch. More writing from Pekoe in the pipeline.

Grrr! it is so annoying when the sun shines on days when I take a stroll to photograph urban art. I am so stupid, and get caught out all too often. This is the only piece that I can post from a wonderful Easter RBF paint jam on the Greenbank hoardings. I will have to return to photograph the rest again on an overcast day, and in the meantime just hope that they haven’t been tagged or bombed.

Bnie is a brilliant writer and artist, and her characteristic pieces are such a joy to find. This clever piece has two separate colour combination elements, one of yellow and pinks and the second is a zig-zag stripe of light blue and lilac colours running through the piece. I have seen this kind of inverse design technique before and it is always a winner. The eggs are a nod to Easter. Great work from Bnie.

742. M32 roundabout, J3 (35)

I haven’t seen much of Sled One for a while…apart from the man eating fridge piece…so it was nice to come across this wildstyle work on the M32 roundabout at the start of April.

I can’t help that the piece is Easter chocolate egg inspired. The colours of purple and gold, reminiscent of Cadbury branding, and the chocolate brown colours definitely have that Easter egg look about them.

So the story here is to write a wildstyle piece in the theme of Easter eggs, and I think Sled One has cracked it…sorry.
