Last week I was on a bit of a brownian motion walk in Bedminster following the scent of some pieces that Paul Harrison had mentioned to me. On one of my meanders, I walked past this piece by Sofly which I hadn’t seen before probably because it is on a workshop door that is usually open during daylight hours.

I can’t be certain that the whole thing is by Sofly or whether she had an accomplice who painted the cat on the right hand side (Yala? Tam?). Sofly’s Work is always so crisp and clean and shaded beautifully. It was a real unexpected treat to find this one.

Another fabulously intricate piece of wildstyle writing from Deamze accompanied by a cartoon-style character. There is a lot to like about this piece…it is clean and crisp, the design is highly detailed, the cartoon character is beautifully done and is holding a spray can, which is always a good thing.

This is a site tucked up behind Cameron Balloons, and is a favourite for several members of the ASK crew, including Cheo, Soker and Deamze himself. I don’t come here very often, but it would appear that I visited pretty soon after a whole new bunch of work had been done. I like it when I get lucky like this.

I took this picture on a sunny day back in September 2015. This wall is a collaboration between Soker and Cheo, each with their own distinct style. Soker and his wildstyle burner and Cheo spraying a cartoon and the signature bee.

I would guess that Cheo’s work is a selfie of the two of them, but this is only a guess.

84. New John Street (1)

This is my second attempt at publishing this post…something horrible happened and the draft I saved completely disappeared.

Soker is a Bristol-based graffiti writer who has been active since the 1980s and is well known for his work all around the city. He specialises in wildstyle burners and is not much bothered with making money from his works.

This wall is sited just off North Street, the main hub of Upfest 2015. Soker belongs to the ASK crew and KTF (After School Klub and Keeping Things Fresh respectively).
